Baby Punkin's last ultrasound was this past Saturday. Because of the disappointment from Silly Baby's 35-week ultrasound (we couldn't see her face and did not get a sonogram to take home), I wasn't getting my hopes up too high for this ultrasound. Also, because Baby Punkin wasn't all that cooperative for his/her 20-week ultrasound - s/he was very low and faced to the back so we couldn't see anything. But, to our surprise - Baby Punkin was looking right at us! It took me a minute to figure out what I was seeing as in all my past ultrasounds, I only get the profile shot. But, Addison knew it right away and pointed out Baby Punkin's eyes!
We were able to get a couple good sonograms this time, so that made us happy!

Baby Punkin's Stats
Estimated weight: 5lbs 11oz, 56th percentile
Heart Rate: 136
Positioned head down
Mommy is dilated 1/2cm
I begin my weekly appointments now. The next one is on Monday! So far I don't believe I have felt any contractions. There's been some mild pains in my belly a couple times this week but I think it's more aches and pains than actual contractions.
This weekend I will tour the Maternity Ward at Northwest Community Hospital, as I have decided to deliver there instead of return to St. Alexius where Addison was born. At Northwest Community Hospital, they have all private rooms vs. St. Alexius where it was only semi-private. I lucked out and did not have a roommate when I had Addison, but don't think I'd be so lucky again. We now live equal distances from both hospitals and Northwest is closer to my office *juuuust* in case I need to go straight there from work when the big day arrives.
I will keep everyone posted on Baby Punkin's progress! Thanks for reading!

*#&%(@&%(*#@&%*@ This made me SO EXCITED!!! I got all these flashbacks from Addison being born! I can't believe how quickly everything is happening! FUN FUN FUN!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW! It's like BAM - BABY'S HERE! Whenever Dr's start dropping the "dilated" word, you know you're in business :)
ReplyDeleteI actually JUST was talking to Alise (Mktg Coord) about how we need to switch gears to prep for when I'll be out cuz it could be as early as 2 weeks from now, as 37 weeks is considered full term!
I'm certainly not impatient like I was last time b/c I was unemployed and bored. This time I'd prefer to go right up to the due date cuz there's still so much to do, eek!
